Lance Oppenheim is an award-winning filmmaker from South Florida. His films have been screened at film festivals across the world including Sundance, Rotterdam, Tribeca, and True/False, and featured at the Museum of Modern Art and the Smithsonian. He was named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces Independent Film, and a Sundance Ignite Fellow in 2019. Online, his films have been featured by The New York Times (as four Op-Docs), The Atlantic, and Vimeo (as six Staff Picks). His first feature, Some Kind of Heaven (2020), was produced by Darren Aronofsky and The New York Times and premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. The film was distributed by Magnolia Pictures and received rave reviews upon its release, including being named a New York Times Critics’ Pick.
